cable reciever HDTV connections
I have comcast basic cable; no cable box, an Onkyo tx sr705 reciever and a Samsung 40 inch 1080P LCD TV. I am trying to view my cable on my TV with the aid of my reciever to get surround sound. I am able to view my cable on the TV without any problems. I cannot connect my reciever to my TV for audio. I am using OPT cable from the TV to the receiver and still no surround sond. I've read the manual from cover to cover. I had a HD cable box amd was able to utilize my Onkyo receiver with surround sound, but took the cable box back to save money. Can anyone help me?
