Pinching some Dollars for a prepro
 

I have been looking at a new processor for some time Onkyo 805 was droped due to lipsync issues. Here is the interesting part I tryed a Emotiva MMC1 and liked it real good but did not keep it. Should I give the Yamaha 861 a try? I is being clearanced at the moment and seems to be in the league with the 805. Could reorder the mmc1 but that but I want to cover all my options.

What are you looking for in a pre/pro? HDMI switching? What do you listen to/ watch more, music or movies?

100% movies
I have a lpa1 amp nht classic 4 up front with 3c center small room 11.5x16x8.5. Hdmi audio is nice to have at this point but in the near future could be must have. I was looking at the yamaha 861 seems to be good deal righ now but the mmc1 was nice.

In an other price range the Classé SSP-800 should be outstanding and have the best audio ever.

Andrew has the Integra DTC 9.8 ($1600.00) and Kennyt has given me good recommendations on it. I'm thinking about getting one myself (during the summer).

I have currently an Integra Research RD-C7 and it was a work horse now outdated as it doesn't have HDMi!!

Onkyo, Integra, same brand same internal components identical software, Integra Research was the only one built in collaboration with Apogee and BAT in th US
