Likes / Dislikes of NAD T775
I am deciding on 2 receivers within next day or so.
My interest are in the Marantz SR8002 or the NAD T775. Any one give me a hand on Likes or dislikes of either receiver.. Would like to here your thoughts on both receivers. Thank You Joe |
Re: Likes / Dislikes of NAD T775
Joe,
The NAD is a nice unit, but it doesn't seem to decode any of the new audio form, ats (DTS MA HD etc) and let's face it, you WILL own a Blu-ray (or maybe even an HD DVD) player someday, and will want to take advantage of the new uncompressed audio formats, so if you bought the NAD you'd have to replace it to do so, so I would look at the Marantz for that reason alone. Sonically I've never had the NAD in my home so I can't comment on it but have always been happy with their house sound. |

The new NADs are all modular and thus easily upgradable! So I'd go the NAD route just because they chose to make the units upgradable. When the Cirrus chips that decode the new codecs become more available NAD will have a new board out fast for it. |
