Could I not run the component from DVD to component in on Driect HDTV Receiver, Then out from Direct HDTV HDMI with DVI adapter to the TV DVI in?

Or, also what if I use component RGB From Direct HDTV receiver to the HDTV. And then run the HDDVD HDMI out with a DVI adapter to the HDTV DVI IN? Or would that cause problems with HD TV viewing of direct tv hd broadcasts?
