What is the best rear projection HDTV currently?
 

Are you digging your new SXRD from Sony, or a DLP from Samsung or maybe a JVC HD-ILA?

Well, I'll take a small leap here. The best is the one made out of Stewart Starglass and a solid projector behind it! Make it any size you want and for the right projector, it will be amazing!

I still currently run a SOny KDS-R70XBR2, and am very happy with it, though the JVC D-ILA's are pretty sweet to, on the cheap Samsung does a great DLP for the cash as well.

For the $5K I spent on my 70" Sony XBR2 I am very happy!
I think I would have to spend a lot more $$$$$ to get a little better picture.

I agree Moose and I have the same TV,

Have you seen the new version? HDMI 1.3 with deep color and now it's ~40% shallower.

I know what you mean, I have a horrible case of upgraditis....

I might just dump the 42" plasma in the bedroom for the new Pioneer Elite Kuro 60" set, that would give me the deep color and a bitchin' set for the bedroom too!
