If you are trying to bring this TV into Belize, you might want to check out the import taxes. A good friend of mine is moving to Costa Rica to start a bed and breakfast fishing place and the taxes for electronics are EXTREME! Hopefully for you (if you are going there) the Belizians are more mild!

Thank You for the details about taxes but belizebound is a future aspiration, the planned 60 inch TV is for my kids in the new fixed up basement on Long Island.

My field experience of late definitely supports the last post. The Sony SXRDs are really awesome. In fact, I was surprised at how accurate the color measured in the Normal Color space setting. Comparing it directly to a Mitsubishi Diamiond series DLP, a less expensive Sony A3000 blew its doors off. I used to recommend the Samsungs because they calibrated some much better than anything else, but they have gone backwards in the climb for better quality pictures and Sony has eclipsed them.
