From what I saw, no 'worse' than any other RP. Unless you watch TV sideways, or laying on the floor, not really an issue.

One of our HD DVD reviewers had the lamp blow 2x on his Mits 833 series. I have heard the picture was pretty good but even if it was the best (and kevin miller thinks it isnt), the lamp issue would be enough for me to stay away from it.

For about 5 grand you can get a Pioneer 6010 60" 1080p plasma that is far superior to any SXRD, D'ILA, or DLP product. I prefer the Sony 52" LCD XBR5 over their SXRD sets. If I needed at least a 70" screen I would get a good Epson, Sony, or Panny projector aith a nice screen. If you don't want the screen to visible all the time get one with a motorized (or even cheaper, a non-motorized) screen roll-up and roll-down device.
Heck, the Panny 58" 700U 1080p plasma can be gotten for between $3,200-$4,000. It is not quite as good as the new Pioneers, but itis cheaper and also far better than any rear projection set I've seen. Greg |

Hi Dinesh et al.,
Sorry for the slow response, but I am quite busy these days. Actually after calibrating some of the new HLT series Samsungs I would have to recommend the Sony SXRD sets. Smasung has gone backwards in picture quality from the HL-S lamp based series, which was by far their best DLP RPTV ever. Go with the Sony.
