Samsung color wheel vs LED lighting

I have a two year old Samsung 750 series, 65" LED projection. Color and brightness are as clear and crisp as the day we hung it up on the wall. With VERY few exceptions, this TV runs 24/7/365..

Is the color wheel on Samsungs what gives it the washed out look?

i also dnt know about color wheel kinda televisions,, but i have a LED tv (Sony) and I love it....

Probably improper brightness (black level) and contrast (white level) are giving the washed out look. My Samsung 61" LED RPTV (rear-projection TV) looks FANTASTIC. I calibrated it using a colorimeter and HCFR freeware on a laptop, but you can get close with a blue filter and the setup routine found on THX movies (Finding Nemo, Monster Inc., etc)
