Its just a shame we can not get them anymore.

I'm still really surprised they are dropping these RPTV's, the 70" LCD is still $32,999.99!

Come one guys, that's a huge jump, it just seems like the RPTV market was the best bang for the buck in all HDTV's, dropping the line screws the consumer.

I'm thinking the consumers screwed themselves, everyone wants a TV they can hang on the wall because it's the cool thing!
I keep trying to tell people they can get more for their money with rear projection, but they want to put the damn thing in the worst place possible, above the fire place!!

and the line of sight above a fireplace puts a strain on your neck with any serious viewing.

Yes kenny, and you wonder, how much if any thought goes into a company making a decision like this. It just doesn`t make logical good sense to me. The 60 and 70 inch SONY RPTV`s are great sets.
