Anthem D2 5 vs 7 surround speaker issue

Hi folks
I have the Anthem D2. Its 7.1 speaker system was setup using the ARC room correcting software.
Just added my first blue ray player (Oppo BDP83), which came with an audio and video test disk. Using the audio test disk, it only recognized 5 speakers! It lumps my surrounds with the rears.
I should have realized that the D2 is only a 5.1 channel prepro. The additonal 2 surround channels are simply derived from the normal 5.1 surrounds.
