I don't think this is a new trend, high end pre/pro's have always seemed to lag behind receivers in features.

Lately the technology is growing so fast I think it just is more apparent.

Yeah, your right kennyt, this is not new. But, overall I think it is good for the industry. Some BB consumer, can start with an onkyo, Denon, or yamaha receiver, than eventually move on up to the eastside...........................
