Having just returned from CEDIA and doing my best to process everything I thought I'd clue everyone in on two new additions to the display world.
First on my list and boasting a wide range of LCD TVs ranging from roughly 20 inches to, I believe, 65 inches is NuVision. While in their second year, at least at CEDIA, NuVision has exploded on the scene with a host of CI friendly displays. It doesn't hurt that the picture they produce is AMAZING. Oh, and they're affordable. While not Vizio cheap, nor can they be bought at your local Costco, they do represent a clear upgrade in picture quality without the clear upgrade in price. Check 'em out: www.nuvision.com Next on my list is Planar. Planar is now partnered with Runco and Vidikron and is the entry level into the family. Normally the entry level into any larger family is, well, rather entry, however, Planar is anything but entry. The image quality both on their displays and projectors is very very impressive. They may have had the best projector display/demo of the entire show. While Runco remains a personal favorite of mine, I like what Planar is offering for a fraction of the cost. http://www.planarhometheater.com/ Lastly, there's Pioneer. Their new KURO line is amazing, and unlike previous Pioneer displays, they seem more affordable. (seeing a trend here). You can get the KURO in both Elite and non-Elite versions, with the non-Elite versions costing a bit less, but are still quite impressive. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...069651,00.html Those are my display picks from this past CEDIA show.

I thought the NuVision stuff was VERY cool. I am likely to go out to Scottsdale to learn more about them.
The Planar projectors looked VERY promising too. Andrew, Ken and I went to their press conference at CEDIA. They have a LOT of options from VERY affordable to higher end solutions.
