Hi:
I'm about to buy my first HDTV and am trying to find one with the narrowest bezel in order to fit into our existing cabinet. Currently we have a 32" 4:3 Sony; the cabinet space is 35.5" at its widest. As I understand it, a 40" 16:9 image is approx. 35", so I would need a set with a 1/4" or less bezel on either side...or have to downgrade to a 37" screen, which I'd hate to do. Any advice? Thanks! -Mark- |

I think you are going to be stuck with a 37".

I have searched all over for a 37" TV that will fit in a 36" armoire (34.5" internal width) and I have not found one that will fit. The narrowest 37" I was able to find was 35.6" LG. I don't know why the manufacturers think that fat bezels look good. Go figure!
It's iffy whether mrmambo's cabinet space of 35.5" will accommodate a 37" TV. |
