For pure movie-watching pleasure, if you want a panel TV, go with a plasma with a THX video setting. Best off-angle viewing and fastest pixel response bar none.
If you want to play LOTS of video games, then a good compromise would be an LCD (whether traditional backlighting or LED) M2CW, Doc Rings Owner: 2 plasmas, 2 LCDs, 1 Rear-Projection DLP TV, & 1 front projection ( in home theater). |

There are some GREAT Black Friday deals out there... just stay away from the "no-name" brands you haven't heard of before. Stick with Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, Panasonic, etc. |
