Private message Kevin Miller. I bet he knows something about the new TVs from Sony.

Andrew Robinson just got one of the new Sony's in for review.

The delivery came in while his neighborhood was close to being on fire two weeks ago.

XBR?
I saw the W3000 and X3500, I believe the latter has a different product number in the American market.

I've been following the Sony LCD's, and relative to the model numbers, 3000 & 3500 are not xbr's. The xbr's model numbers end with xbr3, xbr4, xbr5... The only difference that I'm aware of between the 4 & 5 series is that the 5 has the shiny black "piano" finish. One review I read suggested that could be a drawback relative to reflecting room light. (My $ 0.02)

The XBR5 has a jack for "external control signal"..... other than that, I am still trying to learn what else is different from the 52" XBR4 that I just scored out of circuit city for $2834.99----- the lowest price I've found...... am I'm very happy with it!
