Hey guys, I am new here. I am very impressed with the posters on here and I have two questions that I would love for you to help me with.
1. I have a 52 inch Vizio that is about 3 years old. I realize they are not high end but I love the picture. However, when there is a black screen sometimes I can see a bunch of small red dots in the black. It is noticeable sometimes more then others. Is there any way I can get rid of those? 2. I am interested in getting a 60-65 inch TV between now and the end of the year. (I also want to get a very nice speaker set up as well but that is for another time) What tv's should I be looking at? I would rather not spend over $2500. Thanks for any help guys!! |

Those are probably stuck pixels and can't be gotten rid of. Now if they move it could be from the source, cable or satellite receiver, but if they are stationary they are probably stuck pixels.
If you have very good light control in your viewing area, plasmas will give you the best picture performance. I like the Panasonic S1 plasmas myself and if I ever get a plasma, that's what I'd get. If you have a high light area I'd go with a LCD and I don't have a low opinion of Vizio myself. I have a Westinghouse 42" monitor and love it. |

Thanks! It do not understand the little red dot because sometimes they will be all over the place. Other times there wont be any of them.
For example, when I start up my XBOX to play Call of Duty the first screen is completely black. Sometimes I can see a ton of those little red dots, other times there wont be any and the black will look great. The same goes for my TV and DVD's. |
