Samsung LED TVs

Well, I was out looking at TVs this weekend with a friend, and ran across the Samsung LED TVs, and was blown away.
They are amazing! I liked them so much, I ended up getting a 40" to replace one of my Mits. 40" TVs. Since it was Memorial Day weekend, the sales were on, along with giving away a free Samsung blue-ray player with Netflix streaming and Pandora internet radio.

Due to size restrictions, I had to get the UN40B6000 instead of the UN40B7000 because the UN40B7000 is just fractions of an inch too big for my space. The picture is as good, but just missing a few of the additional extras which worked out to about $300 less in price.

The next time you're out, definitely take time to check one out.

I have one of the Samsung LED TV's in my showroom right now. It is the 55" though. You should be very pleased with the one you got. The only difference that I have found that is of any significance is the internet capability. Which is totally lame. I have not been completely satisfied with the motion capabilities. I was testing with The Italian Job and it was artifacting quite a bit. Overall the colors and black levels were very good though.

Enjoy your new TV, I'msure you will like it very much.

Anyone have comments on the reflectivity of the Samsung LEDs? My living room has six south-facing windows and 3 that face west so it's very bright. I read that the older Samsungs were more reflective than the Pioneer Kuro, which is what I had planned to buy. Oops on the Kuro.

They reflect about as heavy as an LCD possibly can. And yes, these "LED" sets are "LCD" sets with LED back lighting in case anyone does not understand that. These are great sets but the have a very glossy coating and they do reflect. The black levels are outstanding for LCD and so is the color.

Unfortunately, Samsung's entry level 720p plasma has a better picture. That is just how it is....sorry to say......

Plasma is still impossible to beat with LED.....LCD....or a PHD......
