Economic Downtime Results in HDTV Overstock and More Price Drops

A number of manufacturers have announced a price drop in select HDTVs due to overstock in inventory. This comes as no surprise given the state of our economy. The home theater and entertainment markets have remained surprisingly strong despite the recession. But it looks as if it is finally catching up to them. Mitsubishi, LG, Panasonic, Sharp, and Samsung are among the first to make price adjustment announcements. Other manufacturers are expected to follow soon.

This price drop follows just two months after the last significant price cut. So, those who have purchased one the TVs listed below recently, may want to check with their lcoal dealer or retailer as you may be entitled to a refund. Your dealer might offer "rpice protection" and retailers like Best Buy have 30-day price protection policies. For those that have been waiting to upgrade your TV may now find that good deal.
