Laser Driven Displays are not that special.
OLED can't be made large, and not expected to be made large. Even Sony is working on an alternative already. The only competition to Plasma and only in the near future is FED. Plasma may die, but not for another 3-4 years. |

Hi rykerabel,
OLED may not be feasible right now in large screen sizes, but Sony is committed to the technology, and I think it will only be a matter of time for them and other companies to solve the size issue. They have committed a couple hundred million dollars for R&D in the next few years to develop this technology so don't be so quick to rule it out.
