I have numerous hobbies, cooking is one of them.
How many other of you have this problem? I know Jerry does, and still need to drop in for a visit for the Del Coliiano Kobe beef sate.... Tonight I am grilling a rack of lamb that is resting with Kosher salt for a few hours prior to grilling. I'll make some garlic and black pepper couscous and a mixed greens sald with walnuts and goat cheese to go with it. Wine will likely be a Cabernet, not sure which, we went wine shopping the other day and it depends on the spirit which we choose (literally) all to be followed up by some 20 year old Linkwood Scotch..... What are you cooking tonight?? KT

OK, so I am the only loser here who can cook?
Doubtful! I will pimp this thread until it grows like a sad weed.... Tonight is simple night, grilling burgers with shaved red onions, gouda cheese, tomatos and lettuce, on grilled french rolls. Side salad and simple pickles will likely round it out.

When you work at a fire house you learn to cook!
Everyone has their specialties, mine are smoked ribs, home fries, baked beans & cole slaw, not fancy but filling! There is nothing more dangerous than screwing up a meal at the fire house!! |

Moose,
Ribs, Baked Beans and Cole Slaw?? The gas you must generate could cause more fires than you put out!

I did bone out ribeye with asparagus sautéed in garlic and olive oil and a mixed baby greens salad with cucumber and tomato for the wife last night. I finished it off with garlic bread and it was a super easy meal, taking only ~ 20 minutes of pre/cook time!
