What are some of your other hobbies?
I know it can be scary but there is more to life than just home theater!!
What else do you have a passion for?

I took a 30+ year old Autodynamics Deserter GS that I found rotting in a field

And I restored it into a SCCA autocrosser,
It weighs approx 1100 lbs & has a 200 HP VW engine, close ratio transmission & 4 wheel disc brakes.
It doesn't have a big top speed, with the 486:1 rear end it tops out about 90 MPH but will do 0-60 MPH in 4 seconds!!
I have smoked Porsche's, Ferrari's, Vipers & Corvettes with my home built mid engine hot rod & won the SCCA regional championships 5 out of 6 years.
I did all the work in my backyard shop,

I also am the crew chief on a VW powered sand dragster,
It's tubro charged (40psi), fuel injected & runs on Alky, it runs 100 yards on sand in 2.9 seconds at 125 MPH!
It's a monster that smokes supercharged V8's (it's a power to weight thing!) but as you can imagine a 650 HP VW engine will eat a lot of parts, I'm just glad I'm not the one paying the bills on this one!

Re: What are some of your other hobbies?
Part 2
I also like to play in the sand dunes at Little Sahara state park in Oklahoma (about 200 miles from my house) on my Yamaha Raptor 660R.
It's been lengthened & widened for the dunes & has very few stock parts left on it!!

I also race sand drags with it,

I'm about to start building a dune buggy (VW powered of course!) to play with in the dunes, all day on the Raptor can wear a guy out, I want to kick back in a buggy for night riding!

Re: What are some of your other hobbies?
part 3,

Just for kicks I have a couple of radio controlled nitro powered cars,
A Revo monster truck,

And a custom built nitro sprint car.

You know what they say, the only difference between men & boys is the price of their toys!!

Those are bad ass! I race my RC-10 B4 Stealth at So Cal RC in Huntington Beach california. It's an indoor track and all of the pro's like Brian Kinwald, Ryan Cavalerri and other Losi and Associated team members race there. Its like getting to shoot hoops with Michael Jordan when racing practice laps against these guys. For every 5 of my laps, they are doing 6 or 7.

Re: What are some of your other hobbies?
Good I am not the only one dumping $$ at the local hobby shop!

I have a T-Maxx 2.5 R (Revo spec drivetrain), a Jato 2.5, and a new addition that is soon to be modified into a full on rock crawler, the HPI Wheelie King 4x4. I took it out once, it's pretty weak in stock form, but once I lock the differentials and extend the wheelbase it should do much better, might even widen it a bit with some offset wheels and definitely will be dropping the gearing... Thinking 15x90 or 96, then once I find a fit I'll add a better motor....

How did you get the bikes so clean for that shot?? Looks like tons of fun and an amazing picture!

I also ride road bikes (bicycles) and have a Serotta CSi with older Campy Record 8 speed and a Seven Alarais totally customized for my 6'6" 250# frame running all Campy Chorus 10 (2004 so I have the carbon levers and Ti front deraileur) and Campy Eurus wheels, got out for a few mile today on that one!

I also have a real problem with watches... I own six nice ones and have the list of the ones I want to buy.... Keep an eye to Moder Home Theater for an expose' of my top picks coming soon.
