In a stunning twist, news coming out of Downtown Los Angeles reveals that the jury is deadlocked, 7-5, in the Phil Spector murder case. Reports didn’t suggest which way the jury was leaning however, the judge, Larry Paul Fidler, did what he could to get the jury to come to a decision.
Defense attorneys immediately asked for a mistrial, which they will likely be granted tomorrow when court proceedings begin again. Spector, known for his “Wall of Sound” production style heard on records by The Beatles, The Ronettes and Tina Turner, wouldn’t be the first celebrity to beat a murder rap in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom.
