HT Junky,
Not to burst your bubble, but James Bond wore a Rolex GMT, except in Casino Royale, were the watch wasn't made yet, it looks very similar to the Submariner, both great timepieces.

For dress I've worn the same old Movado all gold watch I bought 30 years ago. Otherwise I never spend more than $500.00 for a watch because I always forget to take it off when I'm working on my car or some other project!

My favorite gas passing story; While assisting on a carotid endarterectomy (wherein the main artery to the brain is clamped off, opened up, and reamed out) one time during my surgical training, I noticed the anesthesiologist was rummaging around a bit more than usual: opening drawers, drawing up drugs, checking monitors. Finally he casually looked over the ether screen and said to the surgeon, "Jack, you might want to stop what you're doing for a while and push on the man's chest |

Well, I am actually doing a locums gig at a VA where the surgeons aren't allowed to do anything that rquires a general anesthetic except for hernias! It is pretty pathetic, but everyone here is very nice and it pays REALLY well for doing nothing! When I go back to actually working, I won't be able to troll the forum so often during the day!

I have a winder that I bought on ebay. it's crap. I want to get a nicer/better unit someday. Now that I have a house I want to have my watches always ready to wear. When i had my apartment I didn't want to have my watches out in the open so to speak. Plus what I didn't like about the winder was that it seemed to stretch the band some. Maybe it's just me. My Montblanc never held the time either with the crapo winder. The Rolexes did of course but not the Montblanc. I may need a unit like you have were each winder is programmable. I know some watches need a certain rotation to keep them wound. BTW Do you know of any good Watch magazines? |
