I don't know why it bothers me, my wife has no problem wearing her (second!) engagement ring, which cost more than any watch I am willing to buy, but I just don't know if I am comfortable wearing that on my wrist.....
Maybe now that I am partner it will be less of an issue.....

Thanks Moose, it came a few month earlier than I expected so I got in on the full 401K match for 2008 as well so I'm pretty happy about it!

I just saw a new watch I must have and they aren't expensive.
Timex of all people came out with a high end line called the TX series, and the TX 500 world timer in all black is only $425 shipped to your door! I was on a shopping freeze, but have since amended that for this watch!

I like Rolex(hence the name). IWC's are another watch. I would like to get an IWC but after reading about them on their site I'm not to sure. They don't seem to take being roughed up. A patek or a Breguet(sp) would be nice to have also.
