We bought our cats a new scratching post because they loved to claw at the couches, which obviously caused some damage to the furniture. However, for some reason, they don't use the new post, they continue to go for the couches. Is there a way we can teach them that the scratching post is where they should be doing that scratching? Thank you so much for your help!

place them to the scratching post when they want to scratch
