At this point Rottentomatoes.com and Metacritic.com have both given the new X-Files film a rating of under 50% (quite rotten), so apparently the critics have spoken and they think it's a dog. I'm waiting for a rental or run on cable. Too bad, 'cause I really wanted to support Chris Carter as an old X-phile.

I haven't seen it but am sad to hear these reveiws. I loved the show and the first movie... why does Hollywood think America likes watching politics injected into entertainment?

One would think that after the many political hatchet movies which flop at the box-office they would learn that it's not a recipe for sucess.

I guess I'll go see the Dark Knight instead...

I`m with you. I love the X-Files. And despite the reviews, I`ll have to see for myself. I never really consider the reviews first, anyway. But if it is as bad, as everyone has said, that really is too bad. Maybe Chris, needs to do like Star Trek - The Wrath of Khan, (Yes, I am a Trekkie of the original series only!!) take an episode, an expand on it.
