Nissan GT-R
Has anyone looked into getting one?
After seeing it at the Dallas Auto Show, I started looking into it. I have a local dealer that can get me one, but it is $15K :( over MSRP fully loaded. Any thoughts? http://www.gtrnissan.com/ |
Re: Nissan GT-R
That thing looks pretty cool!
The undercarrage is slick as hell, I couldn't find any performance stats for it on the website, but with ~500 BHP and Ft.lbs torque, I'd suspect it gets up and goes pretty well. I wouldn't pay over sticker for it though, it is a Nissan, and they will be sitting on lots for the $70K they already are, wait a month or so and see, once the initial sales from the hype are over, just like the new Shelby Cobra Mustangs they are trying to sell for $15K over retail, they too will be piling up on dealer lots..... Wonder if they'd let you test drive one though.... |

This is the Skyline, if you have followed Nissan, which has not been available in the US until now. Nissan spec'd it @ 0 - 60, 3.5 sec. Edmunds test figures show 3.3 sec.
http://www.edmunds.com/new/2009/niss...602/specs.html It has been a ~ month since the show and this is the 1st dealer I have found that can actually get me one. Pics from auto show. |
Re: Nissan GT-R
I knew of the Skyline, and noticed the similarities between it an dthe GTR anounced here, if it does low 3 second 0-60's, it is the best deal on the planet for performance! This thing should be able to smoke vettes, Lambo's and Ferarris...
