Nissan GT-R
 

Has anyone looked into getting one?
After seeing it at the Dallas Auto Show, I started looking into it.
I have a local dealer that can get me one, but it is $15K :( over MSRP fully loaded.
Any thoughts?

That thing looks pretty cool!

The undercarrage is slick as hell, I couldn't find any performance stats for it on the website, but with ~500 BHP and Ft.lbs torque, I'd suspect it gets up and goes pretty well.

I wouldn't pay over sticker for it though, it is a Nissan, and they will be sitting on lots for the $70K they already are, wait a month or so and see, once the initial sales from the hype are over, just like the new Shelby Cobra Mustangs they are trying to sell for $15K over retail, they too will be piling up on dealer lots.....

Wonder if they'd let you test drive one though....

This is the Skyline, if you have followed Nissan, which has not been available in the US until now. Nissan spec'd it @ 0 - 60, 3.5 sec. Edmunds test figures show 3.3 sec.

It has been a ~ month since the show and this is the 1st dealer I have found that can actually get me one.

I knew of the Skyline, and noticed the similarities between it an dthe GTR anounced here, if it does low 3 second 0-60's, it is the best deal on the planet for performance! This thing should be able to smoke vettes, Lambo's and Ferarris...

That's why I got so interested in it. I was already looking at another MB, a CLS 63 this time, which is substantially more w/o that kind of performance.
