Movies now on self-erasing DVD's, amazing!

Do you all think our consumer base here in the US, will go for these discs?

Anyone remember DIVX (Digital video Express)?
You bought a movie on a DVD & it played on a special DVD/DIVX player that is connected to a phone line & you got to watch it once, if you wanted to watch it again you had to pay for a code to unlock it.
Well don't feel bad if you don't remember, it only lasted about 7 months.
I told the guy at Ultimate Electronics he was out of his mind if he thought I would buy one of those!

The only place I can see these destructible DVD's catching on is at airports so you can have a movie to watch on a long flight for cheap.

Just wait until the environmentalist hear about this, throwing away a DVD after it's watching period isn't very "green"!

I doubt that is a real issue, but it has crossed my mind!

Is anyone actually going to buy these? It's cheaper to rent them and you have to drive to the store either way. Good grief!
