I am not a celebrity type guy but I did see Keith Richards walking out of Mr. Chow - the Chinese place across the street from our offices in Beverly Hills....
And I have to say - he looked REALLY GOOD. Tan, thin and not dying from Heroin addiction. The paparatzi shot a few shots at him but they could seem to barely care. When it is Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan - there are 100 people there trying to get the shot.

At his age & with the life he's lived it's amazing he is still rockin! My closest brush with celebrity probably won't register on many peoples radar but I got to talk to Dan Gurney for about an hour during practice at an IMSA race in Topeka in 1989. We watched all the GTP cars go through different turns to see who had the best setup. He was in a good & chatty mood because his Toyotas were smokin fast! For those that don't know Gurney drove Formula 1 cars for Ferrari, BRM, Porsche, Lotus, Brabham, Eagle & McLaren & was the only F1 driver to win a race in a car of his own design. He won the Belgium Grand Prix at Spa in 1967 in the Gurney Eagle. Keith Richards is cool but Dan Gurney is one of my heroes!! |

I wouldn't know, I find it personally offensive to pay the hundreds of dollars they wanted to see them on the last tour. Last time I saw them in was in 1990 with Living Colour warming up foor them, sorry to say Living Colour put on a slightly better show in my mind, Mick was looking pretty old then (I was second row for most of the show) I am amazed they can still perform.
