I know that I am very, very late to this post, but I think I know how this rumor got started.

HSG moved the Lexicon/Mark Levinson/Revel repair facilities and their respective headquarters to Woodbury Long Island on June 1st . This was planned months in advance but kept secret. Many people were laid off, some, who wanted to come were transferred. Part of the reason is that the repair facilities were not working out well. They were centralized, for the major brands, in Bedford Mass a few years earlier when the takeover was complete. Even then (about 2002) they were dissatisfied with the results and a lot of people we laid off, a few were retired.
