While I haven't personally built a Star Trek themed theater I have seen my fair share. This one though is one of the best I've seen.

As for Star Wars themed theaters check out MHT's focus on one such theater here:

I'm not a huge fan of theme theaters but when done right they are quite impressive.

I believe this was a DIY job! Some CI somewhere needs to snatch this guy up. DIY are you kidding me. This is awesome. I've invited the designer/builder to join the thread to answer questions and make comments.

I have posted a lot of information, including how I achieved the look of the theater, at the address you posted. I'd be happy to answer any questions your members have. I had no idea my little project would generate such notoriety as it had. It's been quite an experience.

This is a GREAT themed theater and REALLY impressive as a DIY project.

Can you say where you live in Philly? I grew up in Chestnut Hill and used to work at Bryn Mawr Stereo (Abington) as well as Sasafras (in Bryn Mawr)....
