Using PC with Sound System
We are wanting to use our own music for our wedding receiption in 3 weeks. We are borrowing a church sound system and need to know what kind of cable we need to hook the PC to the sound system to play our music. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Using PC with Sound System
You should be able to use a stereo patch cable. I'd guess you will need a mini-stereo plug on one end for the PC and 2 RCA plugs on the other end. Radio Shack should have it.

Re: Using PC with Sound System
You probably had your weddings by now, but just one point to add. You do not necessarily need to use laptop for this kind of task as you can simply sync your playlist to an iPod or other MP3 player and connect it directly to a sound system. Same thing goes to playing movies on your TV. You don't necessarily need a media center pc as you can connect e.g iPod Touch to HDTV using a component cable to enjoy movies. We often forget the simple and obvious solution to the problem.

you should also connect it through your laptop by using sound card.
