i own two pairs of the xhifis and can say their mids being ribbons have a somewhat MartinLogan sound. They WILL play loudly as Howard Schilling and I proved at a past CEDIA show in the the RCA Dome in Indy but most applications will not allow it.

Interesting coincidence. The slackers at my office took today off and I was cranking the ol' XHifi. Great sound at high volume, maybe even better than the lower volume that I usually run them at.
