I'd be interested to know from Brian how the Summits compare to the RBH T-30LSE, which he also reviewed. From what I can tell, the RBH has better range and performs better with bass. How about mid-range? Is the sweet spot with the giant RBH speakers any bigger than the Summits? I'd like to hear the RBH in person but can't find anyone nearby who has any to test. Thanks!

I can't speak for bryan but as a former MartinLogan owner and someone who has heard the RBHs, I can say they are BOTH excellent.
The MartinLogan experience is DEFINETLY special. The mids are incredible. The industrial design is fantastic - more now than ever. The RBHs are more dynamic and better off axis. For their money, I would compare them more with Wilson MAXX2's than MartinLogan. And that's no small compliment. You have to decide for your room what is best and for the way you listen to music and movies - what system meets your needs best however - I don't see how you can fail with either.

Look for the new MartinLogan Purity review on AVRev soon. While not quite reference the way the Summit's are, they are ML's first fully powered speaker allowing them to be plugged directly into a variable output source like an iPod. The implications of a fully powered ML are huge and given how affordable they are they might just take ML to a whole other level.
Still no updates on the CLXs.

Great review. I do like the Martin Logan sound, but it does take some getting used to. I just decided on a major speaker upgrade. The Pioneer S-1ex. I would love to hear a direct comparison to the Summits as both have a fabulous midrange.
