i just purchased some vintage sherwood DSS-1600 speakers from the local recycling center and am wanting to know any information that will shed some light on what these are like..... one thing for sure is that they sound pretty pimp!

I can't find anything about those speakers. They must be pretty old, but if they sound good to you be happy!

Cheers mate! i guess then that it means they are ULTRA RARE! LOL!
They have pretty clear high notes, nice deep tones and decent room shaking bass. taking into consideration the lack of any bass portals of any description lol! :P |

About the only thing that deterioates on speakers to any degree arethe foam surrounds of the woofers. If those are in good shape, it sounds like those speakers will do you a great job.
