Quest to discover the year release of my Technics SB-X5 speakers
 

Hey every one!

As the title says i am hoping anyone can help me discover the release year of my Technics SB-X5 linear phase speakers that i inherited off my uncle who was about to DUMP THEM AT THE TIP!!! :(

also im open to discussion and education on how good these are lol! i currently have them connected to my new age SHARP CD-MPX870 STEREO.

And they pretty much shake the house even with the bass option off lol!

Are the woofer surrounds still in good shape? Those foam surrounds tended to deteriorate.

yeah the foam surrounds are immaculate on the woofers!!!! :D however i had to by pass the main speaker wires from the reset buttons straight to the sound source. This was because the reset buttons were failing and interfering with the balance and volume of sound to the speakers :( But they work absolutley fine now :D
