The micro HDMI connector to standard HDMI is mainly used to connect digital camcorders to a TV for playback where the camcorder has a micro HDMI connection. If you are trying to connect a camcorder to your PC, the USB cable is used for that purpose.

What is required is a video card with a HDMI port. It will come with the necessary hardware and software.
