My experience with flat cables is that they are inflexible and difficult to route. A round cable is your best bet if flexibility and easy routing are among your priorities.

I use the same Atlona cable to connect my Panasonic Blue Ray player to my Onkyo SR-TX805 and from the Onkyo to the television. I have had no problems. They work great.

Correction on that Onkyo model number is required. It is a TX-SR805. That's not the first time I have transposed those letters.

How do they fare cost wise, to the rest of the competition?

I have two of the 2 meter white flat HDMI cables 1.3b MODEL: AT14031W-2 which costs $44.99 each if purchased from their website. I thought this was a good price. Particularly when compared to Monster brand cables.

These cables have performed flawlessly in my system and for a flat cable, they are easily routed and do not seem to be inflexible.
