Monster vs Monoprice test

Here is an interesting test from Gizmodo where they tested Monsters HDMI cable against the much cheaper Monoprice cables.

I looked at the findings. I`m not going to say that certain cables do not make a difference, but this proves, like everything else, that you have to be careful.

Bob from PureLink says: HDMI cables made of copper have resistance (impedance) capable of creating data errors in runs over 15 feet. Thats why we sell fiber optic HDMI cables. They can take the signal, with no data errors, 330 feet.

Hi Bob R. typically what's the price range of fibre optic HDMI, say to 50 feet?

Hi moose. I saw on a tv commentary a few years about the technical differences between inexpensive vs monster HDMI. Overall, not just technically, but visually, there was little difference. On that report, they stated you are basically paying for the brand name. This report compared a HDMI $15 over a $200 monster brand. They did tests like resistance and more. I think this was Consumer reports on a news station. (BTW, not slandering Monster)
