While I was following this during the early days of the format, I'm afraid at this point I'm not 100% sure which if any players (HD DVD and BD) are outputting 1080p.
Which ones are, if any? And are any working with hdmi 1.3 yet? |

Darren,
Many questions... ALL Blu-ray players ever made output 1080p, some of the earlier ones (can't remember if my BDP-100 did or not) might not do 1080p/24, all current ones I've had do offer 1080[p/24 and that is from the Sony BDP-S1 and Samsung BDP-1200 forward. HD DVD runs the gamut.... Depends on the level of player and version you are looking at so check the specs of the individual players. KT

Oh yeah, and it scales SD DVD's to 1080p better than any other player I have. I am unsure right now about 1080p/24, but I seem to remember a firmware update doing that. I would have to check to be sure though....
Got my PS3 hooked up today... waiting until tomorrow to sort out the set up, letting the controller charge, so Greg, I have yet another source... You know I was thinking about it, as an M.D. I think I would prefer the title 'Dr. Source'!

Congrats once again on the PS3. You have now the most reliable player along with the rest of the members that own one as well. Pop in Spidey 3, and enjoy with the Fam, w/o messy and unwanted updates!! |

I dropped in the included game for my PS 3 and it did it's first firmware update already... nice that they put it onto the games so you don't have to download them..
