I have the Meridian 421 switcher and their signal amplifier, and yes the 421 is slaved off the 861.

I will be impressed if they have a working HD DVD player by CES, they weren't even secretly discussing the idea @ CEDIA this year, while in the past they had alluded to it. Maybe that means they were close, maybe it means they are stalled, touigh to call.

We are all hoping it comes out soon!

I think we will at least see what one will look like. I wouldn't be shocked if they had a prototype there whether it works or not. I assume the HD DVD people are really pushing them to have something for people to stare at and wonder how it works at CES.

If Meridian does make a HD DVD player, I think things will change drastically. You know it will be built like a tank, with plenty of cool processing stuff as only Meridian really knows how to do.
