Jimi Hendrix Live at Monterey on HD DVD!!!!!

It was a busy day for me and I forgot to post this from the office but I got a release from London today saying Geffen is going to rerelease Jimi's CLASSIC May 1967 performance from the Monterey Pop Festival.

It seemed like there will be 2 discs. One DVD and another seemingly HD DVD. They promised HD video, 2.0 audio and 5.1 audio.

This is a KILLER performance and EVEN if the film stock looks old - this is EXACTLY the kind of material that will get people BACK into listening to music on their system. Killer songs. Compelling video and surround sound.

I agree wholeheartly. But will this continue. i keep telling you jerry, unless you are the spring board for this, it will never get off the ground.

Been leaning Blu-Ray, but this makes me want HD-DVD too.

I hope they knock each other silly giving us compelling titles like this!

This will be a must have.

You are going to need both formats. I know it sounds crazy but if you want the best in high res - you will need to get out of pocket for $800 or so.
