Greg,
Hope all is well and surgery went as planned. FESS's hurt, hope it wasn't too bad. FWIW I bought a PS3 today, it will be here 11/2, so add another source to the list...

cptpike,
I hadn't heard of that problem yet, and the A35 is pretty new. I would call Optoma and Toshiba and ask them directly, maybe you'll be fine with a decent HDMI cable and possibly a firmware upgrade on the player. FWIW you likely won't know for sure until you try this. I ran into a similar problem getting a player (BDP-1200) to recognizer my friends JVC RDS1 as 1080p/24. I believe firmware updates solved this issue for Alan, hopefully it will be all you need to do on your as well. Ken

LOL. Well, now is this for reliability reasons? For, I just mentioned to The Moose, that the Sony PS3 easily seems to be the most reliable Blu-Ray player available. If this keeps up and the word gets out, the PS3 may be hard to come by.

Thank you very much for the well wishes, I don`t know what FESS`s are, but yes, the first two days after surgery, there was much pain in my head, soreness in the nostrils, and a little ache over the eyes. But today, I`m feeling pretty good. Just a little soreness. Have 3 more cleanup post op appts. and I should be done.
Does Sony make a Madden for the PS3? My stepson has Madden for PS2, and it looks good in SD. In Blu-Ray, it would be incredible. |

Don't know, part of the PS3 purchase was it just made sense, why not have 1080p games?
FWIW I also bought a new laptop (PC) to do the firmware updates and program my Meridian stuff.... POS! I spent half an hour on the phone with tech support to get Vista to work with a standard router to no avail... Then they transferred me to the next level of tech support.... Where they want to charge me $59.99 minimum to try to figure it out! DUDES! This is a brand new laptop.... It will go back before I pay to fix what is new!

Yeah, I hear you. I been tru that with my Dell home computer. You get to a certain level, and then they want to charge you.
Anyway, enjoy your PS# and congratulations on yet another source. The PS3 definitely is the most reliable of all the Blu-Ray players on the market. Kinda makes you scratch your head that a combo game/blu-ray device is doing so much better than Sony`s on flagship machines? |
