I read the review Andrew. They were highly impressed with Samsungs unit. But, not as thorough as you and Jerry are, no mention at all about whether DVD - A, and SACD are supported.

No DVD-A or SACD was ever mentioned or planned for this unit.
Denon might come out with one though.

Why not? See bootman, this has been my issue. And I will not go real deep here, but what we really need is a true "universal DVD player." 1.3a, HDMI, most of the important features of both Blu - Ray and HD DVD players. Another words, pretty much full functionality. Of course, SACD and DVD - A playback, multi - channel of course, with bass management. Then, only then, will we have a true player worthy of its salt.


Then, we can all get along.
