Ok I just wanted to make sure people could compare I wished I had shares in the company, they are part of a big Chinese conglomerate I believe.

I still stand my my belief that buying any SD DVD only player is a waste of money right now. Yes, the Oppo's are cheap, and do upconvert, but they still don't play Blu-ray, and you are basically buying old technology.

SACD and DVD-A are pretty much for all intents and purposes dead, and are not coming back.

SD DVD still lives on, but Blu-ray is the future for now, so buying an Oppo is like buying an old pre/pro. you might think your getting a great deal, but in the immediate future, you will need to replace it and then have totally wasted that $.

You are 100% right but I don't know of any Blu Ray player or HD-DVD either yet that can do DVD A and SACD, maybe for you SACD is dead but not for me and a lot of other audiophile it is not.

www.sa-cd.net has over 5176 SACDs, yes geared towards classical 2878 mostly but also Jazz 904 and a llot of others to make up to 5176 SACDs.

So the wish would be a blu ray player from who ever that can upscale DVDs as well as the yes the OPPO 983 with SACD (DSD), DVD-A, DVD, CD, WAV, FLAC and all the new codec DTS Master Audio, Dolby Tru HD and so on...
