Fire Sales - where's the best!
Well, I think we can all agree HD DVD is dead.
My question to you is where are the best HD DVD dumps going on? I found a Toshiba HD A35 for $196 @ Amazon, and of course the A3's for $79 or $89 everywhere. What are the biggest dumps you've seen and where are they? I likely will buy another player to keep as a spare and for the bedroom, what can I say, I have alot of films on HD DVD that I'd rather not re-buy yet, and for the super cheap prices, It almost seems logical to buy a player for future use.

I just bought a handful of HD DVDs and Blu-Rays at Fry's the night before last.
A good chunk of the HD DVDs were $9.99 each. 1/2 dozen or more Blu-rays were ~$20.00 each. I am still waiting for the $4.99 HD DVD blowout sale somewhere. . . Beowulf was ~$24.00 on sale. Looks like HD DVD only. . . for now anyways. American Gangster was ~ the same price on sale, also HD DVD only. . . for now. Hopefully, all the new releases on HD DVD only will stop soon so the real fire sale can begin. |

The Fry's titles I saw were Paramount catalog titles only. Picked up 6 myself.

I was laughing that Dreamworks Animation won't be releasing on BD for a YEAR because they can't back out of their contract and Toshiba is like "we paid you."
That's too funny. |
