My Toshiba XA2 is frozen

Is there any way to restart it without unplugging it?

Getting to the back of my rack requires breaking out the rack rails and 26 rack screws in and out by hand. Its a 30 minute process.

The power button doesn't cut it. It just has some jack ass error code up there.

Any advice? Any tricks?

If you have a line conditioner or power strip of sorts with a switch you can easily get to, try reseting power from there. Otherwise, break out the rails and screw drivers - that is why I did not like my rack sliding out on rails. I had it set up that way for a about 2 weeks before I had it ripped out and went the caster route.

I guess you could go to the circuit breaker for the rig as well and power it all down that way....

I swear Jerry, you have some of the worst luck of anyone I know! My XA2 has been with me for over a year and it's never locked up!

Jerry, I`m getting concerned for you now. First you had trouble with Mark levinson Media Console. Then, you had issues with the Meridian. Now, your Toshiba XA2, I don`t know.

Maybe move the equipment to another room for better karma?

Looks like we have and end to the format war. Have you heard from Toshiba, as to what they plan to do with owners of Toshiba HD DVD players? Do you think they will allow a trade to the Blu-Ray player of your choice?
