I donít think they went exclusive, but they are officially supporting Blu-ray as their preferred format.

I guess the ultimate question is: have they been negotiating with studios this time and are they close to a deal?
Well actually
1. They did have a price cut on players
2. The week after the BOGO sale at Best Buy & Amazon they were only 26% to Blu-Rays 74%!
Granted that's up from the previous weeks 82%/18% & 83%/17% but not by enough to really matter.
That's hardly "a bunch of software sales".
3. The Super Bowl ad was to local markets not nationwide

If hd-dvd is really about to fight back they better get on with it!!

With the Amazon BOGO sale continuing this week if those numbers don't go up big time, well you get the idea!

Sure they did, they are exclusively only going to support Blu-ray as their preffered format.

Again I say but with more gusto:
It is time to cue the robust female vocalist.
Please now lets get behind Blu-Ray and stop beating this dead horse

Nah.. just because WB and Netflix are BD exclusive, doesnít mean all of Blu-rayís problems are solved. The hardware is still too expensive, profile compatibilities are still a problem and they still donít have 100% of studio support.

That will NEVER happen with me, my new found friend of differing opinion. I will eventually succumb to buying a blu-ray SAL but not until there are sub $150 profile 2.0 units. Considering that you can't even buy one of those nice obsolete profile 1.0 players for that little, I have a sinking feeling I'll be waiting a LONG time for a SAL that fits my needs. Even then I will more than likely just end up renting the movies I want rather than buy. I cannot bring myself to knowingly support something that was forced upon me by the anti-consumer tactics of the BDA. It just REALLY sucks for me at this point because I have grown quite fond of HDM.

If there are HD DVD insiders here that know something, I implore you to speak up because right now, HD DVD needs SOMETHING/ANYTHING to throw in front of the BD freight train.
