Toshiba HD-XA2 24FPS/Audio Problems

If this subject has been previously discussed I couldn't find it so bear with me. I have an XA2 that has been updated with 2.7 firmware. I am sending audio via HDMI to my Pioneer VSX-91TH. Everything worked fine, Dolby True HD and DTS Master HD, etc was shown on Pioneer display. Audio sounded great. Last week I purchased a Pioneer Kuro Elite PRO-150FD. Since this display handles 24fps I decided to change the appropriate settings on my XA2. I changed picture mode to "film" and resolution setting to 1080P 24fps. Now comes the problem. I played Hollywoodland and Knocked Up yesterday and experienced audio problems in that the audio would cut out for a split second at several stages during the play. I did not ever experience this problem before I changed the picture settings for 24fps. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem? P.S. I also have a Panny DMP-BD30K and have experienced no problems relating to 24fps.

I just switched my XA2 over to HDMI (from component) and my suggestion for what it is worth is - to try some different cables.

I had a hard time with SOME brands of cables. I like the Dtrovision ones the best. Ultralink and Transparent worked well too. I hear Kimber is good too but I haven't tried those yet.

Version 2.8 of the firmware is just out. You might want to upgrade and see it that solves your problem. Google "XA2 firmware 2.8" to find the Toshiba download site.
