Well, I have been shopping for new racks for my main system for several months, well really a year or more and CAN NOT decide. Everything has a down side. Nothing is perfect....

I have a Salamander rack from back in the day, it holds my printer and fax machines now. I need something to hold a few hundred pounds and be stable at a height of ~ six feet. Salamander's won't do that.

I thought you ordered the AudiAV racks.
MEGA-Audiophile hardcore racks. I spoke with the guy. You can't find someone MORE passionate about performance at any company. Krell, Levinson, Wilson. NOWHERE. If you are looking for over-engineered ULTRA-SOLUTIONS... this is the stuff. And NO WONDER Ken would pop for it. ![]() j

Acoustic Dreams. Soundations.... Billy Bags.... But nothing, and I mean nothing comes close to "The Rack of Silence," from Solid Tech. They may cost more, but I've yet to witness a better rack for my ears. |

Lotus,
I saw HRS, truly $30K for a rack? Oh wait, I'd need two! Acoustic Dreams, cool looking, but really just a wood shelf on spikes, and $1,500/shelf. Well made and beautiful, just not sure what they do for the $$. Billy Bags? Not even in the right ballpark! One piece welded construction??? Solid Tech's look amazing, but no actual shelves scare me. I really liked the Silent Running Audio racks, big, solid, but they aren't flexible, and I'd need two. Copulare are also really cool looking but most of these racks won't go to the six feet in height I seem to need for all my gear..... Add in the need for adjustability and you can see why I've had such a problem finding these.
